Making a baby is harder than I thought
Author: makala
Just thought id rant for a minute on my blog cause no one else is listening to me today. I never thought making a baby would actually be hard work but it seems to be for me since I got married. I had my last daughter four years ago and wasnt even trying I found out four months along, And I also had two other girls when I was very young and didnt have any trouble getting them either. But I gotta say this one here seems to be taking its sweet old time implanting itself, I went to the doctor but since we been only really tring for eight months theres nothing to do for four more months(but she gave me some advice anyaway). I am supposed to take my basal temp every morning and lose a little more weight, and do you think I have been able to do either? No Each morning I wake up to a child getting into mischief or not listening to her daddy or having to rush out of bed to wee-wee. And seeing as it is the holiday season and all these goodies are lieing around I would have to say I have probably gained a few more pounds then actually lost some. How does a person actually get outside to excersise when its -30 and the snow is past you knees, The van dont got no heat to drive to any kind of gym to join, and basically I just dont feel like it. Well I just dont know about all this, there was a time in my life when I didnt have to work so hard to become pregnant and I like that time better. And thats my rant for the month.

need some suggestions please
Author: makala
I know everyone is busy with the holidays and such but I need some help or suggestions to make things easier on us all. Little miss naughty was doing awesomely with her school work before we moved, she’d do her work all of it without complaning everyday even she would want to do some on the weekends to. Now she wont hardly do a thing im lucky if I can three days a week in and then she argues and fights about everything no matter how little. We do copywork each week five pages for each letter of the alphabet so only one a day. she does one page of practicing to write numbers once a week. and we do two pages of a phonics workbook each day we do work. I am also reading through the book how it works in the home for social studies and a read a loud book. But she only does this after fighting with her to do it. Like all this only takes one hour a day and then she does whatever she likes for the rest of the day. the computer, movies, playing, dancing, music whatever. I was trying to teach her how to read with starfall.com resources but she was just memorizing the lines so I gave up on that now Im looking for a differnent program. I just need to know what others would do in this type of situation I’d like to get more work done with her each day when the new year hits, but I am tried of forcing her to do it no matter how fun I make it she still argues anf fights with me. Please give sugestions please.

Well we have had quite a cold winter this year and it just officially begun. I cant belive it is so damn cold outside. The first winter I was up here it didnt snow till the middle of january, it was only really cold for two weeks and then spring came a few weeks later. last year we were living down near toronto london and it wasnt nearly that cold down there. But this winter has me hibernating and not wanting to get out of bed in the mornings. We moved back up this year to fix my husbands house up and winter started around the first of november this year. I got up at ten this morning and the windows in the house were still frosted over. We were at the mall doing some last minute shopping today for hannukah and seen an old friend and he told us today that theres always something to thank god for and lately its for indoor plumbing. I couldnt stop laughing they must have had some pretty big bladders back in the olden days. Me personally i have never not had indoor plumbing. The snowman on the top reprsents the state we are in when we walk in the door from being outside up here in the great white north.
the new word for the day kids is Bullarkey
Author: makala
I thought i would share the new word that was invented in my household just recently, It is a word that has many meanings depending on the situation you in at the time. It happened one night when i was discussing something with my husband as I was just about to tell him that he was full of bull$%#^ I discovered little ears and thoughts of the word malarkey ran through my little brain. Thus the word bullarkey has been invented, I dont know if it is a real word or not but it is now.

This is the best thing about this house we rented I thought I would have to go without a room opf our own till the house got fixed but this room in the basement is the best. yehovah always knows what you need even before you think you need it. This room even has its own sink for easy paint and craft cleanup and all the mess is out of site of guest. We have our own computer station thanks to my husband who knows how to fix and build computer me and little miss naughty have our own side by side and we play games together or i teach her from them.
There is an old kitchen table and some chairs for seat work and mostly for piles of supplies. ( gotta love the dollarama)
This is the game and learning shelf with puzzles flashcards games and a leap pad. dominoes a sewing kit and wipe clean workbooks for fun learning. a cupboard with piles of free and used books courtesy of the l;ocal library sale and the beat storytime lady out there. we even got tow sets of the knowledge book encyclopedias for free from them one for learning and one for cutting up.
Here is the easel foe art work and a play station for all the toys to be put away and the sink and cupboards for storage are over on the other corner. here also is a shelf full of the books well be using for like the next six years I just cant belive all the lord has done for us isnce I deceided to homeschool I tell you we have been blessed beyond measure I dont think I will ever have to buy a thing for my daughters education ever. I have boxes piled in one corner of the room that have textbooks and reders and all kinds of stuff for up to grade eight or higher reading level. I think im getting off track though.
This is the shelf I was talking about I just want to take this whole room and transplant it into our house. I wish I could. I told my husband I want a room with exactly all this stuff when we move. and I know the almighty one will provide.

oh im so glad we finaaly got our internet hooked up at the new house. It feels like its been the longest month ever. I cant believe I ever lived without it in the first place. weve been up to alot of things but mostly not school related I think weve averaged two school days a week since we moved in november. I hope to get back to some kind of schedule in the new year. I got plenty more pictures to put up over the next couple days and a few stories to tell. but first I must surf.
