history with daddy
Author: makala
well were into our third week of homeschool with little miss naughty and things are going well so far, some days are a struggle because she doesnt want to do her seat work so ive dubbed those lazy days. shes only four shell make it up later on. Besides she really likes the lapbook thing so im thinking of making one for her math shes wanting to learn how to add and shes pretty good at it if its with pictures. so daddy was asking if i was teaching her history yet but theres not a lot of history projects for kindergarten kids to do that ive found. then when i checked out my email yesterday there was a new lapbook in lapbooklessons.com it is a family tree lapbook so i spent the afternoon printing out cutting and putting together this one so all they have to do is go through the pages and write the information down in the spaces and glue the pictures in. I will be including this in history, and thenĀ i think well do something on pirates because thats history also. if anyone out there has canadian history ideas for four year olds let me know id appreciate some. have a great tuesday.

so the cover is green with blue bubbles and then the sides open up and on the left panel there is three mini books with facts about dinosaurs. on the right one there is three cutout dinos for writing description words.then on the first page is a wheel on whatever happened to the dinosaurs and then you lift that page up and theres another below it with a dinosaur puzzle and a book about behemoth in the bible. on the first page you lift up on the back of it is a section on meateater dinosaurs with pictures of what they eat and a card pocket with the different meateaters pasted on businesss cards to pull out and identify. then when you open the second page on the back of it is the planteaters same idea as the meateaters. and on the inside of the book there is a pocket with the dinosaur alphabet inside of it with a picture of a dinosaur for each letter of the alphabet. that was based on the dinosaur alphabet book by jerry pallotta. and then on the back i glued a duotang folder to hold all her worksheets shes been doing for the unit.we hole punch them and then put them inside. this has been so fun we plan on doing one for each of our science units we do.
