This is the curriculum I decided to put together for our first year of homeschool, I was looking at buying a curriculum but at the prices they are we would never be able to afford it.  So I looked at the lists of books in each bunch that is offered to see what kinds of books kids are reading nowadays and looked through our vast selection of books at home complements of the recent library sale and freecycle store.  And voila I think I put together a mighty fine list if I say so myself.  So here it is our 2008/2009 literature curriculum for this frugal home.

and we will be adding five in a row books as we find them at the library, If we could afford it I would purchase then because there so good. And that’s the list just for literature this doesnt even cover the rest of the books i’ll be reading to her this school year. I think I have read more books in the past four months then I have in the last 10 years of my life.  I have written four pages in our reading log so far this year thats 28 books on each page double sided and its only the end of october I am amazed at just how many kids books are out there.
